We’re expecting a big turnout this weekend and we’d love for everyone to come along, feel safe and enjoy the festival and all that Blackpool has to offer.

On Saturday, Lancashire Constabulary’s Police with Pride group will be taking part in the parade. Chief Supt Stuart Noble, Lancashire Police’s West Divisional Commander, said:

“Blackpool Pride is a very important event for Lancashire Police and I am especially proud our officers and staff will once again be supporting this year’s festival. We have dedicated resources at the parade with a number of officers, including some armed police, present to ensure the safety of everyone. These officers will be spread around the parade route and further into the town centre. This increased visibility from police, including additional security checks, will help to provide reassurance to visitors.”

While we want people to enjoy themselves, we also want people to remain vigilant. So if you see or hear anything suspicious which gives you cause for concern, please contact the police immediately.

If you want to report a crime, please call the non-emergency number 101. In an emergency, always phone 999.
